Lori Steeves
Interior DecoratorOwner and Founder of Simply Home Decorating
Originally from Moncton, New Brunswick, Lori moved to Montreal in 1992 to pursue her Bachelor's degree in English Literature and Art History at McGill University. While studying, she worked as a visual merchandiser, store manager and design consultant for a number of bookstores and home décor retailers. She completed a College Diploma in Interior Decorating before moving to Ottawa and founding Simply Home Decorating in the year 2000. Since then Lori has successfully guided countless clients through their home décor, design and renovation projects. She is known in Ottawa for her well-attended Interior Design seminars, her popular shopping trips to Montreal and her semi-annual Designer Garage Sales benefiting the Children's Wish Foundation.
In October of 2008 Lori relocated to North Vancouver, British Columbia with her husband Jonathan and their standard poodle, Sam. After completing a harrowing 3 month renovation of their new town home Lori gave birth to a beautiful baby girl, Findlay Jean Hayward. Lori is currently easing her way out of a year-long hiatus and working on selected projects as she re-builds her business in her new hometown.
